Fifteen new celebrities will take to the dance floor as a new series of Strictly Come Dancing gets underway. Each celeb will be paired with a professional dancer with the duo aiming to get their hands on this year's Glitterball Trophy.
Among those taking part this year is Olympic swimmer Tom Dean. Tom is a three-time Olympic champion winning the 200m freestyle and 4x200m freestyle relay at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and the 4x200m freestyle relay in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The 24-year-old was the first celeb to confirm he was taking part in this year's show - accidently making the announcement after reaching the final of the men’s 200 metres individual medley at this summer's games. READ MORE: Strictly Come Dancing 2024 line-up in full Tom said he intended to seek out the wisdom of Team GB teammate Adam Peaty, who finished ninth on the BBC show in 2021, alongside professional dancer Katya Jones.
He said: “Naturally you want to take a break after you’ve had a full Olympic cycle and the opportunity arose. “I thought it would be really exciting to try something a bit different.
