manchestereveningnews.co.ukFifteen new celebrities will take to the dance floor as a new series of Strictly Come Dancing gets underway. Each celeb will be paired with a professional dancer with the duo aiming to get their hands on this year's Glitterball Trophy.
Among those taking part this year is Olympic swimmer Tom Dean. Tom is a three-time Olympic champion winning the 200m freestyle and 4x200m freestyle relay at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and the 4x200m freestyle relay in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The 24-year-old was the first celeb to confirm he was taking part in this year's show - accidently making the announcement after reaching the final of the men’s 200 metres individual medley at this summer's games. He said: “Naturally you want to take a break after you’ve had a full Olympic cycle and the opportunity arose. “I thought it would be really exciting to try something a bit different.
