The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is set to give thousands of households a £300 boost this month. The government confirmed eligible people will receive the cash boost from November, ahead of winter.
The money is an extra cost of living payment that is given to people born before a certain date to help cover essential costs, reports StokeOnTrent Live.
To qualify for the £300, you must be entitled to a Winter Fuel Payment for winter 2023 to 2024. Anyone who is born before September 25, 1957 will automatically qualify for this which in turn means they will also receive an extra Pensioner Cost of Living Payment as well.
