Liam James Payne (born 29 August 1993) is an English singer and songwriter.
He rose to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction.
Payne made his debut as a singer when he auditioned for the British television series The X Factor in 2008. After being eliminated as a solo performer, he auditioned again in 2010 and was put into a group with four other contestants to form One Direction
Drivers escape unhurt following smash on 20mph limit road
manchestereveningnews.co.ukDrivers escaped unhurt following a crash on a suburban road which left one car in a hedge. The collision happened on Fog Lane in Didsbury on Sunday night.
Police and firefighters were called to the scene but the occupants of a Volkswagen Golf and a Peugeot 207 were already out of the vehicles by the time they arrived.
Pictures from the scene showed the badly damaged Golf across the carriageway while the Peugeot was on the pavement and in a hedge.
Nobody was arrested and no-one was hurt in the collision, a spokesman for Greater Manchester Police confirmed today (Monday).
