Dog owners can take their beloved pets to meet Santa in Ayrshire this Christmas

It may be four months until the big day but Santa Paws is set to make an appearance in Ayr this Christmas. Dobbies have announced their plans for the festive period and they include the opportunity for dog owners to take their pets to meet Santa.Pups will be able to “spend quality time with Santa” before they receive “a special gift and take a photograph”As usual, Father Christmas is set to take up his annual residency at the garden centre in their new Little Seedlings train-themed Grotto this November and December starting with a free arrival event on Sunday, November 24.There will also be a “sensory-friendly Quiet Grotto” with extended sessions times for a “slower, relaxed experience” on Friday, December 6 for children with additional needs.Dobbies’ members are able to book their places now before the grotto experience is opened up to everyone from Tuesday, September 3.On Thursday, November 28, the store will host a Teenage Cancer Trust Christmas Shopping Night including discount shopping and the unveiling of the tree.

Tickets cost £1 with proceeds going directly to Dobbies’ National Charity Partner.Family, festive mornings will also take place with Santa’s Breakfast running from November 30 and December 24.Events programme manager Ayesha Nickson said: “We’re thrilled to be welcoming Santa and his elves along to our Ayr store to spread the joy of Christmas with our enchanting line-up of festive events.“Christmas is one-of-a-kind at Dobbies and we take absolute joy in putting on a memorable series of events.“From our new Little Seedlings train-themed Grotto where kids can meet Santa to tasty Santa’s Breakfast experiences and fun-filled activities, we’ve come up with something truly special for the whole family to
