Dancing on Ice star forced to quit show hours before final due to 'significant injury'

Greg Rutherford has been forced to quit Dancing On Ice after sustaining a "significant injury". The former Olympian, 37, who was due to skate in tonight's live final on ITV has since had to pull out of the competition altogether.

The finalist's professional skating partner, Vanessa James, posted on Instagram saying Greg was on his way to hospital and wouldn't be able to perform in tonight's show.

Her post read: "Unfortunately Greg has sustained a significant injury this morning at rehearsals and won’t be able to perform tonight. "We are on our way to the hospital for Greg to get examined further and receive the treatment he needs." However, the official X (formerly Twitter) account for Dancing On Ice has shared an update on the 2012 Olympics gold medallist's condition.
