Journalist and former winner of Strictly Come Dancing Stacey Dooley has admitted she hasn't used a lift since she got stuck in one whilst on holiday in Spain when she was younger.
According to the Daily Star, Stacey, 37, hasn't used a lift in more than two decades and instead always takes the stairs. In an interview with Radio 2, she confirmed she'd had to climb 16 flights of stairs to get up to the studio as she didn't want to get in a lift, explaining: "I took the stairs up here.
I'm not into lifts," adding that she gets out of breath taking the stairs to her flat: "I'm on the eighth floor and I was completely out of breath by the time I got to the top so I don't know if I’d make it round a dance floor!" Giving listeners an insight into her relationship with partner Kevin Clifton, who she met on Strictly, she added: "Kev's a funny one, I love dancing, but he's not really into it if he's not being paid. “If I say to him ‘Ooh, can we have a quick dance around the kitchen, will we practice my frame?’ He'll entertain me briefly for a couple of minutes, and then back on the sofa watching F1.
Romance isn’t dead!" The couple often share photos of their baby daughter Minnie, 14 months, and Stacey even took Minnie to America with her whilst filming an upcoming TV series.
