Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon has shared her pride for her 'TV son' as he picked up an award for his emotional and challenging bullying storyline.

Charlie Wrenshall was recently seen portraying Liam Connor's plight as he was horrendously bullied. The teen character faced a rough ride at the hands of Weatherfield High bully Mason Radcliffe.

There were then more heartbreaking scenes when the infuriating bullying campaign later resulted in the discovery that Liam was contemplating taking his own life, leaving his terrified mum, Maria Windass, watching her son's every move, even going so far as to set up a camera in their home.
