Coronation Street's Jack P Shepherd brands it a 'joke' as he misses out to co-star

Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd jokingly took issue with his co-star picking up an award during the latest star-studded ceremony.

The ITV soap was a big winner at this year's Inside Soap Awards, with its cast picking up a string of gongs. Corrie scooped the coveted Best Soap accolade at the ceremony, held at London's Salsa Temple on Monday night (September 30), as well as the Best Actor prize for Peter Ash following his character Paul Foreman's emotional Motor Neurone Disease (MND) plot.

As well as the Best Actor trophy, Peter also landed the Best Storyline prize for Paul's MND battle, which resulted in his character losing his life, and he and co-star Daniel Brocklebank, who stars in the long-running show as Billy Mayhew, won the Best Partnership prize.
