The new character was first seen earlier this week in the ITV soap when he was listening to Paul's interview with Amy Barlow on the radio.
Paul was speaking passionately about life with Motor Neurone Disease and cab driver Denny was seen jotting down Paul's name and 'Weatherfield'.
While Paul, his husband Billy Mayhew and sister Gemma were busy being blown away by the Motor Neurone Disease crowd funder that had been picking up pace following Paul's appearance on the radio - in which he accidentally swore - Denny was seen approaching Bernie outside the café, telling her he heard Paul on the radio and didn’t realise his son was dying.
