Viewers were first introduced to Christopher 'Kit' Green after Bernie Winter, played by Jane Hazlegrove, had been on a mission to track down her long-lost son Zodiac, who was adopted and had his name changed to Christopher Green not long after he was born.
Bernie was secretly carrying out her search for the child she gave away almost thirty years ago. However, after Gemma Winter-Brown became suspicious of her mum, she told Bernie's partner Dev Alahan to get to the bottom of things and she ended up crumbling and revealing all about Zodiac. She pretended to be an agency cleaner so she could get into his house. However, she was caught rifling through his drawers leading to Bernie admitting why she was really there.
