Viewers of the ITV soap know that Gemma has been convinced that her stepson is really ill, despite doctors saying that wasn't the case and having a word with Chesney about his wife.
However, fans have continued to see Joseph telling Gemma he doesn’t feel well, but Gemma was, of course, feeling sceptical, due to being aware she overreacted the last time.
But when Chesney was called out of work to pick him up from school, he berated Gemma for not realising he was ill. Then, when Chesney suggested she wasn't coping, Gemma tooks offence and branded herself a terrible mother and stormed out.
