It's been a difficult few weeks for Co-op Live. The £365m music venue, located at Eastlands next to the Etihad Stadium had been slated to open on April 23 with comedian Peter Kay taking to the stage, but its opening has been delayed several times due to 'technical issues' and ongoing building work.

A test event held at the landmark venue took place on April 20 featuring Rick Astley and Danny Jones from McFly, however following some power issues, bosses moved Peter Kay's opening shows.

Shortly after, The Black Keys gig on Saturday, April 27 was also moved, and last Wednesday (May 1), it's third scheduled opening event with American rapper A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie was cancelled just minutes before he was set to perform.

Bosses at the Eastlands venue announced a further delay to its opening season - and offered 'sincere apologies' to all ticketholders.
