Martin Rennie was the hero as Clyde took their League Two survival fight to the last day.Rennie's 13th goal of the season in 37 minutes was enough to keep all three points at New Douglas Park.With a two-point lead over Stranraer, Clyde must beat Elgin City in their last game, or at least better their rivals' result, to ensure they don't drop into the Pyramid play-off against East Kilbride.Clyde dominated the first half of their final home game of the league season, and would have been further ahead at the interval, but for some wasteful finishing.However, they got the breakthrough they needed in 37 minutes when Rennie made sure to slam the ball into the net after Craig Howie’s looping header had hit the other post.
Scott Shepherd forced a good save from Brian Kinnear as East Fife searched for a leveller, but Clyde deservedly took their slender lead into half-time.
The second half was much more cagey, but Rennie and Allan both went close to doubling Clyde's lead and giving them some breathing space in a do-or-die clash.Clyde boss Ian McCall made two changes from their 2-2 draw with champions Stenhousemuir last time out.
