A child has died after a horror fire at a house in East London this morning which left five more people in hospital. Around 40 firefighters and six fire engines raced to Napier Road in East Ham just before 8:30am on Saturday morning (July 12) and had the fire under control by 9:10am.

Sadly, one child died at the scene, with another five people rushed to a A&E by paramedics, MyLondon reports. LFB Assistant Commissioner Patrick Goulbourne said: “This is a terribly sad incident and the thoughts of all of us at London Fire Brigade are with the family, friends and all those affected at this difficult time.
