Casting Director Jennifer Presser Launches Production Outfit With Indie Shingle Shot of Tea
deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: Casting director Jennifer Presser has set her company Break Away Casting into what has been described as a “new collaborative production model” with the London-based TV and film production company Shot of Tea.
As part of the deal, Presser will step into the role of creative producer on Shot of Tea projects. The two companies will collaborate on original projects with the aim of promoting underrepresented scripts and talent.
The companies will continue to operate independently. Shot of Tea, founded in 2017 by Aletha Shepherd, focuses on character-driven films and television series.
Its upcoming film Everything & The Universe is currently in post-production and features EJ Bonilla, Nicolette Pearse, Chelsea Gilligan, and Luke Roberts.
