Kate Garraway admits husband Derek is still in hospital as she says 'we wait and see' amid sharing Christmas plans

Kate Garraway has told how her husband Derek Draper is still in hospital where he is receiving planned treatment as she said 'we wait and see' in terms of progress in his health.

The Good Morning Britain host confirmed Derek was in hospital at the end of last month. Kate has previously told how coronavirus 'wreaked havoc' on her husband's body after he contracted the virus in March 2020.

Derek, a former Labour lobbyist, spent just over a year in hospital before returning home in April 2021, where he has needed round-the-clock care ever since.

When sharing Derek's hospital visit on Loose Women on November 23, Kate said: "I haven't talked about this, but not the horrific drama fortunately, because there have been lots of, as we all experience, referrals and cancellations." She then went on to explain "He's gotten back in for something that he began last year, which he needed the second part of which will hopefully mean he has more movement, physical fractures."
