Casey O’Neill is relishing fighting in front of a roaring Perth crowd this weekend... but it’s a Glasgow one she’s hell-bent on hearing just as much.Born in Irvine, raised in Kilmarnock, the 26-year-old UFC fighter left Scotland with her family at the age of eight for a life Down Under.

Her return to the octagon tomorrow morning – through the night here at home – to take on Brazil’s Luana Santos has been four years in the making.

Las Vegas, Texas and London have come calling since her UFC debut in 2021 before her adopted home gets to see her go for glory at the RAC Arena in Perth, Western Australia. The city just an hour south of the other Perth remains firmly on her mind, though, with 2017 the last time the show rolled into town.

The 26-year-old flyweight said: “I definitely want to fight in the Hydro when the UFC does come back. They don’t come very often so they better give me a lot of notice so that they don’t chuck me on an APEX card the week before or something like that, I would be devastated.“When I signed to the UFC I wanted to fight in Australia and I wanted to fight in Scotland.
