Adult film star dead at 42 after being shot in 'senseless act of gun violence'
ok.co.ukAn adult film actor has been shot dead. Jay Hefner – whose real name is Saiveon Hopkins – died in what his family has described as a "senseless act of gun violence".The 24-year-old was visiting Lincoln, Nebraska from his home in Ontario, Canada, to celebrate the birthday of a relative.
He was shot and killed on Sunday "trying to protect his cousin" according to a GoFundMe page set up on behalf of his devastated relatives.There were three separate and unrelated shootings in Lincoln between Saturday night and Sunday morning.The incident involving Hopkins occurred around 1:30 am when officers were called regarding a fight.
When they arrived on the scene, they found two men with gunshot wounds who were taken to the hospital for treatment. The fundraising page has been set up in his honour to raise money to pay for his funeral.
