World renowed Cartoonist Tony Husband has died. But his final sketch made just hours before he collapsed will stand as a poignant farewell.

Based at his studio in Gee Cross, Hyde, he contributed to national newspapers and magazines, winning major accolades. His skill was to turn his hand to both the funny and heartbreaking.

He worked for the satirical magazine, Private Eye, and never missed being in it in for 38 years. He was on his way to a goodbye party for a colleague on Private Eye being held on a barge in London when he suffered a heart attack on Westminster Bridge.
