Scottish DJ Calvin Harris secured his third Brit Award tonight after being nominated for Best British Dance Act during tonight's award show at the 02.

The Dumfries-born star kissed his wife Vick Hope as his name was announced as he took to the stage to deliver his acceptance speech to the audience.

Accepting the prize, he said: "Ellie, I wouldn't be on this stage this year if it wasn't for you, what you brought to Miracle was unbelievable.

I couldn't have done it with anybody else in this room."Ellie stood up and cheered for Calvin while he also offered his thanks to "my beautiful wife".Earlier in the night, Calvin and Ellie took to the stage to perform their smash hit Miracle together with delighted fans at home taking to social media to praise the duo on their performance. However, it seems viewers were not as impressed by the 40-year-old's win nor his 'boring' reaction to receiving the award.Calvin was up against Barry Can't Swim, Becky Hill, Fred Again and Romy in the Best British Dance Act category and many have been left questioning whether the Scottish star deserved to win.One wrote: "How’s Calvin Harris won that over Fred Again #BritAwards" while someone else said: "Calvin Harris is a sound guy but the most boring choice for Dance Act really."A third commented: "How the f*** was Fred Again robbed by @CalvinHarris who is so irrelevant now #BritAwards." A fourth wrote: "Calvin Harris is so boring can't even crack a smile can he #BritAwards" Calvin was nominatedfor three Brit Awards with his two other categories being Song of the Yearfor his single, 'Miracle' with Ellie Goulding and Best Pop Act.
