A nine-year-old basketball-mad superfan got a surprise of a lifetime when he came home from school to find two of his favourite players in his bedroom after they were impressed with his merchandise collection.
Schoolboy Jake Ritchie from Falkirk has a Caledonia Gladiators season ticket and has attended almost every game in the last two years.
While his dad, Andrew, 43, kitted out his bedroom with custom bedsheets, mini basketball hoops and custom signs of his favourite players.
The Kinnaird Primary School pupil made a beeline for his bedroom after mum Sharon, 44, picked him up from school to practice his dunk shots in his mini basketball hoop but gasped when he saw team captaim Fahro Alihodzic and forward player Prince Onwas."That's an incredible moment in Gladiators history right there," said Fahro after spotting Jake's wallpaper featuring the BBL trophy. “It’s amazing to see photos of our team and players up on the walls.” Greeting Jake with a fist bump the players remarked: “How was your day at school, man?
