Buchwald Promotes Julie Choi To Head of Unscripted Talent & Content As Ivo Fischer Exits
deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: There’s change at the unscripted unit of talent agency Buchwald. Julie Choi has been promoted to Head of Unscripted Talent and Content, while Ivo Fischer, who joined in that role two years ago, has exited.
Separately, the agency has promoted Shawn Scallon and Sheri Talkovsky to Co-Vice Presidents of Talent in New York. Choi, who is based in LA, joined Buchwald in November 2022, from APA, as an agent in the Unscripted Talent and Content department.
She will now lead the division. Her clients include Ross Mathews, a host on The Drew Barrymore Show and a judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race, Kimberly Goodman, exec producer of Lizzo’s Watch Out for Big Grrrls, Top Chef producer Thi Nguyen, Selling Sunset exec producer Sundee Manusakis and So You Think You Can Dance talent Alison Holker.
She also reps production companies including UNconventional Entertainment, Deep Fusion, and Michael Levitt Productions. Choi was also previously an executive at the Game Show Network (GSN) before moving to Paradigm.
