A consumer champion has warned that broadband customers could end up paying £150 more than they expected due to mid-contract price rises.

Which? has called on industry regulator Ofcom to ban the whole practice after it found that BT, EE, Plusnet, Shell Energy, TalkTalk, and Vodafone customers could be subjected to increases of more than 8 per cent on average in 2024.
