Miovski was caught by Rico Lewis' flailing hand as the Man City defender rose to head the ball inside the England box. A VAR review resulted in Slovakian ref Filip Glova pointing to the spot.
Enis Bardhi had his spot kick saved by Jordan Pickford, but made no mistake with the rebound.The decision was slaughtered on social media with Carragher joined by the likes of Gary Lineker in slating the officials.
Carragher posted: "Bizarre these VAR penalties that get given in Europe. What's more bizarre is they didn't give the one against Maguire." And that invited a post-match reply from Miovski, who clearly didn't think much of the Sky pundit's analysis, responding with "Bla bla blaaa..."Gareth Southgate's side rescued a point in the end.
