The Fair City held its ‘biggest ever’ Perthshire Pride event on Saturday to the delight of thousands of rainbow-clad revellers.Celebrations started at the Thimblerow car park from 11am where the colourful Pride Parade was led by Traitors stars Theo Mayne and Amanda Lovett.The free festival then took place at North Inch for the very first time, with doors opening to vibrant visitors from noon.Season three winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, Krystal Versace, headlined the extravaganza, with fellow RuPaul alumnus, Jonbers Blonde, as well as UK drag queen Anubis and Brazilian-born rapper Aggro Santos also starring.The animated attendees enjoyed more than 50 market stalls, as well as cocktail bars, hair braiding and a food village, as well as stellar stage performances.Perthshire Pride co-chair Marysia Macfarlane called the event “amazing” and their “biggest event to date”.She added that feedback has been “very positive” and that planning for next year’s Pride will begin in the next couple of months.Perthshire Pride’s ‘post Pride chill-out’ event, The Yard: Pride Brunch and Market was a big success at the Radisson Blu Hotel on Sunday.• Picture credit: Perthshire Local
