EXCLUSIVE: Lee Sung Jin (aka Sonny Lee), creator and executive producer of the critically acclaimed series Beef, has signed a multi-year overall deal with Netflix that will extend across scripted series and feature film.

The creative partnership will be overseen by Jinny Howe, Vice President, Drama Series, at Netflix, and her team, sources tell Deadline.

Beef made its debut on the streamer on April 6 with Steven Yeun and Ali Wong in leading roles. According to Netflix, the 10-episode serieswas on the Global Netflix Top 10 for 5 weeks, reaching the Top 10 in 87 countries.

To date, the comedy-drama has received more than 30 award nominations including 13 Emmy nominations and 3 Gotham Award nominations; with the series winning a TCA award for Outstanding Limited Series earlier this year.
