The actress hit the headlines last year when she quit the BBC One dance contest weeks into the 2023 series. She pulled out of one of the live shows of the series, despite impressing with her moves, due to 'medical reasons'.
But before she and her professional dance partner Giovanni Pernice were due to return for the contest's Halloween special, it was announced Amanda would be leaving the competition due to 'personal reasons'.
Neither have directly spoken out about what happened until now as Giovanni has said it is a "shame" that Amanda left the show early as he feels they could have "gone all the way". Asked if he is a perfectionist, he agreed but said it comes from a place of "caring".
