Scots shoppers were shocked to meet The Cheeky Girls when they nipped in for some shopping at their local newsagent in Hope Street.
The girls, who first appeared on Popstars: The Rivals over 22 years ago, were in great spirits as they chatted with shoppers and posed for pictures by the checkout.
The sisters, who said they love Scotland, are currently here to promote Irn-Bru Xtras’ new nostalgic limited edition flavours Raspberry Ripple and Wild Berry Slush which are old school just like them.
Gabi said: “We do love Scotland and Irn-Bru”. Posing in their tiny matching orange dresses they did however admit: “We are a bit cold in these outfits.”And they laughed at their random appearance at the Nisa Store in Hope Street, joking: “It’s very unlikely this day will come again.” After one fan took a can without saying thank you, her sister Monica laughed and labelled him a ‘cheeky boy’.
