Giovanni hasn't competed in the 2023 run of the BBC One dance contest for weeks after being forced to withdraw from the competition alongside celebrity dance partner Amanda Abbington.
The actress initially pulled out of one of the live shows due to 'medical reasons' before it was announced Amanda would be leaving the show altogether due to 'personal reasons'.
The Sherlock star later said: "It is with deepest regret that I had to leave Strictly. I did not come to this decision easily or lightly but for personal reasons, I am unable to continue," and hasn't elaborated on her reason for leaving the hit competition since.
