It was a spectacular night after another 13 weeks of celebrities and professional dancers performing week in, week out, came down to just three couples - Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola, Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin and Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell - to battle it out one last time for the 2023 title and the Glitterball trophy.
At the end of the epic live finale, despite the judges' scores telling a different story, it was former Coronation Street star Ellie and her dance partner Vito who emerged victorious with hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman confirming the pair were this year's winners - much to their shock. And it was in the group performance that Giovanni caught viewers' eye. The Italian dancer was left solo after he was forced to withdraw from this year's competition alongside Amanda Abbington.
