Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood is said to have been 'overwhelmed' during the 2023 final after a telling moment in which he tried to fight back tears.

The latest run of the BBC One dance contest came to an end on Saturday night (December 16). The final saw the three remaining couples - Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola, Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin and Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell - perform three times each in a bid to impress the voting public as the final results came down to the last live vote of the series.

At the end of the night, the scores given by the judges saw, Layton and Nikita received a total score of 119 points out of a possible 120 while Bobby and Dianne bagged 117 points.

Ellie and Vito then placed bottom of the final leaderboard having received a total of 115 points.
