BBC star who worked with David Attenborough jailed over sickening animal sex crimes

A BBC TV star, once respected in his field, has been unmasked as a depraved animal abuser and rapist. Adam Britton, a zoologist originally from Yorkshire, worked with David Attenborough when Life In Cold Blood was filmed on his property.

He has been sentenced to over 10 years in prison by an Australian court after admitting to a shocking 56 charges involving the torture and sexual abuse of animals.The Darwin Supreme Court judge, while sentencing the crocodile specialist who once helped Prince Harry catch a croc, expressed horror at Britton's "inconceivable depravity".The 53 year old was arrested in April 2022 and is now prohibited from owning or having any mammal-type animals for life.

During the sentencing, the judge forewarned those present in the courtroom of the disturbing nature of Britton's crimes, which included "grotesque cruelty toward animals." As the gruesome details were disclosed, including the deaths of 39 dogs, emotional reactions rippled through the public gallery.

Britton, who completed his PhD at Bristol University before moving to Australia, began his heinous acts in 2014. His own pets, Swiss Shepherds named Ursa and Bolt, were among the victims, abused in a hidden room on his property in McMinns Lagoon, near Darwin, reports the Mirror.
