BBC presenter Nick Sheridan has tragically passed away at the age of 32, following a short illness. His death was announced by the BBC on Thursday morning and it has since been reported the TV presenter collapsed while out running and died shortly after, surrounded by his family.
He is suspected to have suffered an aneurysm during his run. Since the news his death, friends and colleagues have been paying tribute to Nick.
Gary Smith, Head of News and Current Affairs, said: "Nick has been a wonderful colleague. He was a hugely talented journalist, presenter and author and one of those rare people who light up the lives of everyone around them.
Our hearts go out to his parents, to his partner and to all his family and friends." His friend and fellow award-winning journalist said: "A uniquely talented broadcaster, writer and journalist but above all a throughout decent, funny, thoughtful pal who was great fun.
