Exciting news for Gladiators fans - the lineup for series two has been announced! Following the popular reboot of the 90s gameshow by BBC, which raked in millions of viewers weekly and was hailed as the "best reboot yet", Gladiators is preparing for a comeback with its second season.

As the first-series finale was drawing near - where we saw Army officer Finlay and personal trainer Marie-Louise crowned champions - fans were thrilled with BBC bosses confirming that the show would be returning for a second run.

Filming for the must-watch competition will kick off at Sheffield Arena come August. This Tuesday, the BBC assured viewers that all 16 Gladiators from the first series would be back on our screens - including fitness model and coach Comet (Ella-Mae Rayner) - who sadly had to leave the first series early due to a severe injury. The unfortunate star suffered a broken foot and ankle, saying at the time: "I think it goes to show how tough it is - even the professional athletes get hurt." Father-and-son presenters, Bradley and Barney Walsh, will be back to host the news series.

Buff bodybuilding giants Giant (Jamie Christian Johal) and Bionic (Matty Campbell) are set to get back into the heat of competition, joined by rugby player Fury (Jodie Ounsley), who made an impact as the first deaf Gladiator ever, reports the Mirror.
