Following the unexpected axe of fan favourite series Our Flag Meets Death earlier this month, fans of the hit BBC show have banded together to campaign for it’s renewal, with a petition shared online now exceeding 50,000 signatures at the time of writing. The iconic series which was the brain child of Taika Waititi - who is married to singer Rita Ora - ran for two series in total and is set during the golden age of piracy. The show itself follows the misadventures of gentleman-turned-pirate Stede Bonnet and his crew aboard the Revenge and has widely been praised by critics for it’s inclusive LGBTQ+ representation - in fact, it even boasts a score of 96% on Rotten Tomatoes, clearly showing a firm fanbase.
