Countryfile's Adam Henson was back on screens hosting a special lambing season episode on BBC One at the weekend, giving viewers an intimate look at life on his Cotswolds farm.
The 58-year-old presenter was seen assisting with the birth of lambs and checking in on his other animals, including Highland calves, Gloucester old spot piglets, and a new Exmoor pony foal.Fans of the show also watched a nostalgic journey as Adam delved into the Countryfile archives to revisit past lambing seasons.Off-screen, however, Adam has faced personal challenges.
He married his partner Charlie in secret during the Covid-19 pandemic due to her heartbreaking health diagnosis.Charlie was diagnosed with stage one pancreatic cancer over Christmas 2020, and doctors informed her that her survival chances were "very low" without major surgery, reports the Express.
In an interview with the Telegraph, Charlie shared the grim details of her diagnosis: "I was told the scan showed a 4.5cm growth on my pancreas, located in a difficult position and it was very serious," she said.
