Baby Reindeer’s Richard Gadd isn’t yet a millionaire despite the success of his show… while the woman at the centre of it takes legal action for £130million.Figures published this month show Gadd’s company RRSG Ltd is worth just over £772,000 – a drop of £64,000 from the previous year.But that’s far outweighed by the US court case being taken by fellow Scot Fiona Harvey, who came forward claiming to the inspiration behind Baby Reindeer villain Martha Scott, who stalks Gadd in the series.She filed a $170million (£130m) lawsuit against Netflix in June, accusing it of defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence, gross negligence and violations of her right of publicity.Gadd’s accounts, listed on Companies House, also show he received an income to the company of about £650,000 and was able to give himself a loan of £99,000.Directors are allowed to borrow money from their limited companies but it must be paid back.Gadd, from Wormit, in Fife, is said to have has invested wisely over the years and bought a flat in London’s trendy Finsbury Park in 2020.Baby Reindeer, filmed in Edinburgh and London, was first broadcast in April this year and has been nominated for 11 Emmy Awards.

The seven-part drama written by Gadd – who plays lead Donny Dunn – is based on his real-life experiences at the hands of a stalker.One financial expert said of RRSG: “It’s hard to say from the figures when Gadd was paid for the Netflix deal and how much.“However, Gadd is still doing well with a lot of money in the bank.” Don't miss the latest news from around Scotland and beyond.
