If you're expecting a little one this year, you might be racking your brains over what to name them - and a good starting point for some inspiration could be the annual list of most popular names.Thanks to pop culture, films, music and other trends, new names are always cropping up meaning others can quickly become old and not so trendy.The baby name gurus at BabyCentre however have analysed the data from 2022/23 and pinpointed the names that have seen the biggest drop in popularity, putting them at risk of disappearing completely this year.

Some of these names were once super common, but changing trends mean they're not being chosen as much anymore in favour of fresher options.

When it comes to boys' names, it's the American ones like Keanu, Ryder and Buddy that seem to be losing their appeal the most.

Additionally, Welsh boys' names such as Griff and Bowen have also taken a hit, with surnames as first names becoming less popular recently.
