Attempted murder charge after man left seriously injured in disturbance

A man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder after another man was left seriously injured in an incident in Salford.

Police and forensics officers cordoned off Kenyon Way in Little Hulton last month, on the evening of March 23 after being called to reports of a 'disturbance' between a group of young men.

An air ambulance also landed close to the scene and a man was taken to hospital with serious injuries. READ MORE: Join the FREE Manchester Evening News WhatsApp community In an update, Greater Manchester Police have confirmed a 19-year-old man has now been charged with attempted murder, possession of a bladed article and unlawful possession of Class ‘A’ controlled drugs with intent to supply.

Samuel Adesanya, of Seddon Street, Little Hulton, was remanded in custody and appeared at Salford and Manchester Magistrates' Court on Tuesday (April 18).
