Cynthia Onyedinmanasu Chinasaokwu Erivo (born 8 January 1987) is an English actress, singer, and songwriter.

She is known for her performance as Celie in the Broadway revival of The Color Purple, for which she won the 2016 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical, the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Actress in a Musical, the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album, and the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Musical Performance in a Daytime Program, the latter two she shared with the rest of the cast.

Erivo ventured into films in 2018, with roles in the heist film Widows and the thriller Bad Times at the El Royale. In 2019, she portrayed abolitionist Harriet Tubman in the biopic Harriet, for which she earned nominations for an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award.

Ariana Grande has shared a series of new photos from a recording studio that seemingly teases a new music project is on the way soon.Grande shared a series of photos and muted videos on Instagram today (December 7) that show her working in a recording studio.

In many of the photos, Grande can be seen sitting at a computer while looking at audio files on screen.Grande didn’t caption the posts but her friend and frequent collaborator Victoria Monet commented “she’s home!” while Grande’s Wicked co-star Cynthia Erivo wrote in a comment: “no one is ready”, adding: “I’m so freaking proud of you…This project is so freaking special!”You can see the post here:A post shared by Ariana Grande (@arianagrande)Back in August, Grande paid tribute to Mac Miller in the video for a new version of the pair’s 2013 track ‘The Way’.

Grande shared a 10th anniversary deluxe reissue of her debut album ‘Yours Truly’ in the summer,, featuring a host of rarities and unheard material.She also released a new live performance video for ‘Baby I’, filmed at the Soho House in London, where Grande is currently filming for the Wicked movie.Also included in the album celebrations is a series of new videos, including one for ‘The Way’.

In the video, the background fades out at the end and left are the words “Feat. Mac Miller,” which glow in white at the track’s conclusion.Miller’s second verse in the song is also given a new orchestral string accompaniment, while the song is otherwise unchanged.Earlier this year, Grande marked 10 years since the release of ‘The Way’ by paying tribute to Miller, who died in September 2018 following an accidental overdose and dated the singer between 2016-2018.
