The ultimate game of deception, backstabbing and trust has returned as the second series of The Traitors has kicked off on the BBC.A fresh-faced group of 22 strangers headed to the gorgeous castle in the Scottish Highlands where they all hoped to win up to £120,000 including three Scots, two female contestants from Inverness and a male from Glasgow. The group travelled to the lavish castle where they were met by Claudia Winkleman, who said: "Very shortly I am going to choose my traitors - they get to murder their fellow players one by one under the cover of darkness each night."Later on we saw the contestants gathered around the circular table as the host picked her three traitors - Business manager Paul, events co-ordinator Ash and British army engineer Harry.

58-year-old Tracey, a clairvoyant and sonographer from Inverness, said she'll "hopefully be getting a bit of help from the spirit world" as she goes up against fellow star Evie from the Highland city.Evie, who works as a veterinary nurse, says she entered as she is "having a bit of an existential crisis ahead of approaching 30" and will make a good contestant as people wouldn't suspect her innocence and works with animals yet is scared of spiders."For £120,000 I would get into a vat of spiders, there’s an override in my brain and I think I would just do it," the driven vet said ahead of her debut on the show.
