Angelina Jolie's 'The Outsiders' Musical Set to Open on Broadway in Spring 2024
justjared.comA start date has been set for Angelina Jolie‘s musical adaptation of The Outsiders. Earlier this month, it was announced that the 48-year-old actress had come on as a lead producer of the project, which is based on S.E.
Hinton‘s classic 1967 novel. Keep reading to find out when the show will premiere… On Monday (August 21), Deadline confirmed that the show will start previews at the Saturday, March 16, 2024, with opening night scheduled for Thursday, April 11, 2024.
Casting is set to be announced at a later date and tickets will go on sale to the general public on Nov. 1. Earlier this month, Angelina revealed that her daughter Vivienne actually played a role in her involvement with the production. “Viv reminds me of my mother in that she isn’t focused on being the center of attention but in being a support to other creatives.
She’s very thoughtful and serious about theatre and working hard to best understand how to contribute,” she said, noting that Vivienne will act as a volunteer assistant on the show. Angelina was recently spotted meeting up with friends for lunch in New York City and you can see all the photos here.
