An extraordinary live show of The Matrix movie is taking shape in Manchester

For hit 1990s movie The Matrix is being transformed into real life with a new world premiere show that opens this month. Called Free Your Mind, and directed by Oscar-winning Danny Boyle, it is the show that will officially open the vast new £240m Avivia Studios in Manchester city centre.
Behind the scenes rehearsal pictures released this week have given a sense of the epic scale of the production. It will involve a cast of over 50 professional dancers as well as 100 participants from across Greater Manchester.
The show will feature the choreography of Kenrick "H20" Sandy as well as a powerful score from renowned composer Michael "Mikey" J Asante.
