Strictly Come Dancing contestant Adam Thomas had to miss a scheduled appearance on BBC spin-off show It Takes Two tonight - just 24 hours before he is due to dance the American Smooth on Saturday's live show.

Adam's professional dance partner Luba Mushtuk appeared on the show alone as she explained that Adam "didn't feel very well" and was resting up ahead of his next performance.

Welcoming the dancer to the show, presenter Fleur East told the audience Luba's celebrity partner was "under the weather". Asked how he was doing, Luba explained: "He is resting now.

He just didn't feel very well but he is resting and getting ready for tomorrow night, so everything will be fine." She added it felt "so strange" to be on the show alone.
