AMY Winehouse's turbulent life and tragic death is set to be turned into an eight-part TV drama. The 27-year-old died in 2011 after a long battle with drug and alcohol addiction.
The series will explore the musical legend's struggle with her demons, her romantic and family relationships - including with dad Mitch - and her talent.
It will be based on the bestselling book Saving Amy, which was written by author and film-maker Daphne Barak. Halcyon Studio have since bought out the rights for the book in the hopes to make it a scripted TV series.
