Alison Hammond shared a simple yet emotional message as she made her debut hosting the late Paul O'Grady's For the Love of Dogs.
The This Morning star was chosen to continue the late entertainer and staunch animal lover's legacy he created at Battersea Cats and Dogs Home.
Paul passed away 'unexpectedly but peacefully' aged 67 back in March 2023. Following his passing, Paul's last series hosting the show was aired and it was then revealed earlier this year that Alison would continue the show, in which she'll help the animals in their care look for a new place to live.
Speaking of her new role when it was announced, Alison said: "I am very aware that I can never replace the iconic Paul in this wonderful series, but if I can continue to shine a light on the brilliant work done at Battersea and help to tell the stories of these beautiful dogs, then it will be an absolute privilege to give it my all.
