McDonald's fans have been celebrating the return of the fast food joint's Breakfast Wrap after it returned last week - and Aldi has decided to get in on the action.

Fast food fans were left disappointed when McDonald's was forced to pull the item from its menu just two days after it was back on sale due to a shortage of eggs.

However, the much-loved breakfast favourite returned yet again earlier this week and customers have been flocking to restaurants to get their hands on one.

But budget supermarket Aldi reckons shoppers can recreate the popular wrap at just a fraction of the price. The supermarket said thrifty fast food fans can purchase the six ingredients needed for less than £9, recreating the wrap for £1.18 each.
