Airdrie boss Rhys McCabe admits the game lacked quality as they and Morton fought out a 0-0 draw at New Broomfield.Chances were at a premium in a game played in horrendous pre-Christmas conditions, with neither side really able to get a grip of it.It took until the second half for either side to register a shot on target, and neither effort should have been a problem for Diamonds keeper Josh Rae or his opposite number Ryan Mullen.McCabe said: “I thought both sides were poor, it wasn’t a good spectacle and it certainly didn’t feel like it played well either.“I thought the game lacked real quality from both sides, and probably a draw was a fair result.“But it was a positive clean sheet and hopefully we can build on that.“The conditions weren’t nice to play in but that wasn’t a factor that made the game so poor.“I thought both teams were lacking a wee bit of confidence and belief which, especially at home, isn’t really like us.“But we’ve got to take as many positives as we can, which is a clean sheet and we move on.“It stops a run of three defeats, but I don’t really know what to say – the game lacked quality and it wasn’t enjoyable to watch.“It lacked a wee bit of quality from both sides.”The first half was cagey affair, with few clear-cut chances created by either side, though Airdrie had all of what there was.That situation slightly improved in the second half, but there still wasn’t much of a sparkGabby McGill tested Morton keeper Ryan Mullen’s reflexes from close range inside 90 seconds, following a bit of pinball in the box.Mason Hancock was decked just outside the Morton box in nine minutes, with player-boss Rhys McCabe curling the free kick over.Airdrie tried again in 24 minutes when McGill set up Calum Gallagher
