Zara Tindall has given a rare TV interview, sharing her "hopes and dreams" as she appears in a new ITV documentary about the final day of the Cheltenham Festival.
As the niece of King Charles, Zara, 43, provides insight into one of the UK's most highly anticipated horse racing events. In ITV's Champions: Full Gallop, Zara discusses the significance of the Cheltenham Festival, which takes place every March.
In a clip from the documentary, Zara tells the interviewer, "There's a lot of hopes. There's a lot of dreams people want to grab.
Everyone wants to have a win at Cheltenham, and Gold Cup is obviously the biggest." Zara also confesses that watching the competition can be more nerve-wracking than participating, saying, "I think it's worse watching than riding, 100 per cent because you've got no control over it, and you sit back and let them get on with it." The daughter of Princess Anne and Mark Phillips and the granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II, Zara's passion of horse riding and ambition was passed down through her family.
