Woman rushed to hospital after 'fall from Scots flat window' as man arrested over 'murder bid'

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a woman allegedly fell from a flat window. Emergency crews raced to Maitland Court in Helensburgh following the alleged incident at 11.20am on Sunday, May 8.

The 35-year-old woman was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment to her injuries. Police have confirmed that a man named Dale Montague has been arrested and charged in connection.He appeared before Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Tuesday, May 10.The 34-year-old faced charges including abduction, assault to severe injury, danger of life and attempted murder.

He was also charged with sexual offences.He made no plea and has been remanded in custody. He will return to court at a later date.A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At 11.20am on Sunday, May officers were called to a report of a 35-year-old woman having fallen from a window in Maitland Court, Helensburgh.“Emergency services attended, and she was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.“A 34-year-old man was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
